Comparison
CoAsync and Compliant Always, side by side
CoAsync is the product closest to ours, and the two are aimed at different halves of the same supply chain. This page is written to the rule we hold ourselves to everywhere: everything in the left column is capability that ships today, and everything in the right column carries the source and the date it came from, or says plainly that we do not know. Where we do not know, we have left it blank rather than filled it in.
Research on CoAsync assembled 2026-08-31. Our own column states shipped capability only, and names where each claim comes from.
How CoAsync describes itself
CoAsync is the product of Cognitio Labs. They describe themselves as the AI back office for food product quality.

What CoAsync is good at
This is the first section on the page on purpose. A comparison that cannot say what the other product does well is an advertisement wearing a table.
Four modules with one job each, named in one word: Certify, Checkpoint, Concierge and Vault. It is a good treatment, and we took the discipline from them for our own agent roster.
Our competitive research, not independently verified: docs/direction/05-POSITIONING-AND-SITE.md, sections 1 and 2. Read 2026-08-31.
They publish the economics of a certificate rather than asking a buyer to imagine the saving. We adopted that too, for the market figures our own advice turns on.
Our competitive research, not independently verified: docs/direction/05-POSITIONING-AND-SITE.md, sections 1 and 2. Read 2026-08-31.
They are built for the quality function inside a producer, and a guided rollout with a person on the call is a reasonable way to sell into a plant.
Our competitive research, not independently verified: docs/direction/05-POSITIONING-AND-SITE.md, sections 1 and 2. Read 2026-08-31.
Pick CoAsync if: You run quality inside a manufacturing operation and the job is the plant's own workflow: specifications, batch quality, the back office around production. That is their territory and it is deliberately not ours, and a guided rollout with someone on the call may be exactly what a plant wants.
The difference is the model, not the feature list
Feature grids age badly and every vendor writes their own. The part of this comparison that will still be true next quarter is how each product is sold: what it costs before you talk to anyone, whether there is a version you can keep for nothing, and whether you can see it work on your own documents today.
Every price is on the pricing page, in public, with the date it took effect (2026-08-31). Plans start at $49 a month per product beyond the free one. You can work out what you would pay before anyone knows your name.
Shipped today. Source: the published price list at /pricing, computed by the one pricing function the plans are priced with.
Your first product stays free with no end date: the whole product, every market, every agent, full export. The one limit is a weekly cap on assistant messages, which the app states plainly along with how long until the next one opens up. It is not a trial that lapses into a sales call.
Shipped today. Source: the free product block on the home page and on /pricing, and the cap the app states in the assistant itself.
The front door is a document, not a calendar. Drop one test report on the free check and read what it found, with its citations, with no account and no card. The free product needs an account and still no card. Only the 14 day paid trial takes a card, and nothing is charged before it ends.
Shipped today. Source: the free check at /check, live right now, and the trial card and billing date stated at /pricing.
Row by row
Every cell in our column is capability that runs today, with the module or route it comes from named underneath. Every cell in the CoAsync column carries the source it came from and the date that source was read, or says that we could not establish it.
| What is being compared | Compliant Always | CoAsync |
|---|---|---|
| Who the product is built for | Every layer of the chain on one system: the brand chasing its manufacturer, the manufacturer answering its customers, and the ingredient supplier answering both. The manufacturer and supplier doors are live pages, not a roadmap. Shipped today. Source: the /manufacturers and /suppliers doors on this site, open right now. | Built for the producer side: the quality function inside a food manufacturer. Our competitive research, not independently verified: docs/direction/05-POSITIONING-AND-SITE.md, sections 1 and 2. Read 2026-08-31. From our own competitive research in 2026-08, based on their public materials at the time. We have not re-read their live site since, so treat it as dated rather than current, and tell us if it has moved. |
| How a stranger gets in | Drop one test report on the free check and read the answer with the rule behind every line. No account, no card, and nothing to book. Shipped today. Source: the free check at /check, live today with no signup. | Their public materials route the paths into the product through a scheduled demonstration. A guided demonstration is a normal and often sensible enterprise motion; the contrast here is what a visitor can do before one, not whether the motion is any good. |
| What it costs, before you talk to anyone | The whole ladder is on the pricing page with the date it took effect, and a calculator that prices your own catalog. We count products and never markets: one product in one country or in twenty costs the same. Shipped today. Source: the published price list and the calculator at /pricing, with the date it took effect. | Not established We have found no published price list for their product. That is an absence of evidence and not a claim that no price exists; a figure quoted inside a sales conversation is not something we can read or cite. |
| A free version you can keep | The first product is free with no end date: the whole product on it, every market, every agent, full export. It sits outside every plan rather than at the bottom of the ladder. Shipped today. Source: the free product block on the home page and on /pricing. | Not established We could not establish whether a free tier exists. We are not going to infer one either way from a page that does not mention it. |
| How the product is broken up | Six named agents, and only the six that ship and can be run in front of you: Intake, Verify, Keep, Collect, Audit and Assemble. The ones still in build are not named on the site at all. Shipped today. Source: the six agents named on this site, each one runnable in front of you. | Four named modules with one job each: Certify, Checkpoint, Concierge and Vault. This is the treatment we borrowed, so read the row as a credit rather than a contrast. |
| Published numbers about the work itself | The market figures our advice turns on are published with the date each was last verified, on a free comparison page that takes no signup and carries no referral arrangement with anyone on it. Shipped today. Source: the provider comparison at /compare-tic-providers, every figure carrying its own last-verified date. | They publish per certificate savings and return on investment figures for their buyers. |
| Where an answer's authority comes from | Every line we return names the rule it came from, and the requirements library those rules live in is public and browsable before you sign up for anything. Your team still makes the calls. Shipped today. Source: the public requirements library at /requirements, and the citation on every check result. | Not established We could not establish from outside the product whether each result carries a citation to the public rule behind it. It may well; we have no way to show you that it does, so we are not saying it either way. |
| Getting your documents back out | Full export on every plan including the free one, whether or not you pay us, and it is written into the terms rather than promised in marketing copy. Shipped today. Source: our published terms at /terms, and the one-click export the app ships today. | Not established We could not establish their export terms from their public materials, and export terms are exactly the kind of thing that should be read in a contract rather than taken from a comparison page. |
| What each one deliberately does not do | We are the paperwork department and nothing next to it: no corrective action workflow, no lab instrument integrations, no production planning, and we test nothing ourselves. If your problem is the plant floor, we are the wrong shape. Shipped today. Source: the six agents named on this site, none of which is a quality management capability. | Their territory includes the quality workflow inside a producer's operation, which is the part we deliberately stay out of. Read this row as a boundary rather than a gap: the two products are aimed at different jobs. |
How to check this page, and how to correct it
The right column is our own research from 2026-08, drawn from their public materials at the time, and it has not been re-read against their live site since. We would rather show you a dated claim with its date on it than a current sounding one we cannot stand behind. If anything here is out of date or wrong, write to us and we will correct it and move the date.
The shortest way to settle this
Do not take a comparison page's word for it, ours included. Send one of your own test reports to the agent and read what comes back, with the rule behind every line.
No card, no account, and no call to book. Tell us what you make and where you sell it, and we will come back to you.
