What TIC verification costs, provider by provider
Amazon doesn't take documents from sellers anymore. An approved TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) provider reviews your documents, or commissions testing, and submits the result to Amazon for you. This page shows what that typically costs. Free, no signup.
What it costs for your catalogue
A provider reviews an existing, current COA for $80 to $120 per product. If no usable COA exists, fresh testing runs $500 to $1,000 per product. The calculator needs JavaScript to multiply these by your SKU count.
Which cost applies to you
One question decides it, per product: does a current, complete Certificate of Analysis exist?
- A current, complete COA exists, from your manufacturer or a third-party lab, within the validity window, covering what the requirements ask for. The provider validates the document. That is the $80 to $120 path.
- No usable COA: missing, expired, or incomplete. The provider commissions fresh finished-product testing. That is the $500 to $1,000 path, for a document problem, not a product problem.
The validity window is shorter than you might think
Sources conflict on how old a COA can be (6, 9 and 12 months are all reported), so we apply the strictest: about 6 months (182 days as configured). A COA older than that is treated as unusable for validation. Window last verified 2026-07-24.
